Processing Clerk (Kanawha County)

Job Summary – Responsible for answering phones, assisting with purchasing,
working with program applicants, and reviewing/processing data.
Requirement - Prefer Associate Degree in Secretarial Science, Office Management, or a related field. Must have High School Diploma or GED. Must have two years of paid professional experience as a processing clerk or similar field. Typing skills, with experience in word processing, data entry, and other computer operations. Must possess a valid driver’s license, dependable transportation with adequate insurance for daily on-the-job use, and a safe driving record. Must be willing to attend training when deemed necessary and travel out of the area. Must demonstrate the ability to work well with co-workers and management personnel. Must be a team player.

Assistant Teacher (McDowell County)

Job Summary - Assistsin the implementation of curriculum & develop appropriate activities. Assumes duties in the absence of the Teacher. Shares responsibility of completing paperwork. Provides assistance in all areas regarding classroom operations, in order to ensure adherence to Head Start Performance Standards.
Requirement - Applicants must have good written and oral communication skills and experience working with 3 and 4 year olds. Applicants must have an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services, General Education, etc. or be enrolled in a program leading to such a degree; a Child Development Associate or be enrolled in a CDA credential program to be completed within 2 years. Job Summary – Has major responsibility for classroom operation including, planning, carrying out activities, maintaining the classroom environment, supervising children, parent/teacher conferences, and supervision of classroom volunteers; may also supervise and/or mentor teacher(s) and teacher assistant(s) at a site; assumes classroom responsibilities in addition to supervisory, record keeping, and/or planning duties.
Requirement - Applicants must have good written and oral communication skills and experience working with 3 and 4-year-olds. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education; may also accept a bachelor’s degree in a related field, with 18 hours in early childhood education coursework. A valid driver’s license is required. Be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or have an approved exemption.

Coalfield C.A.P., Inc. Head Start program is now accepting applications for Bus drivers in McDowell and Mingo Counties. Job Summary: Provides scheduled transportation to Head Start parents and children to and from the center, on field trips and special activities. Drivers work in the center during non-driving hours, under the direction of the site supervisor. Drivers must observe all the rules and regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Highway Administration Safety Handbook; must have a working knowledge of Head Start and preschool children; must possess the ability to communicate with Head Start children, parents, and staff. Education: High School Diploma or GED. CDL with Passenger and S Endorsements. Experience: Prior bus driving experience preferred.
